Women for Women in Film is a California Non-Profit created by award winning female filmmakers with the sole purpose to support other female filmmakers on their path to success. 

Founded and lead by directors Anabelle D. Munro and Laurel Adler, WFWIF offers education, networking opportunities such as industry panels, mentorships programs, masterclasses as well as special award recognition for women in entertainment to be presented during the annual ETHOS Film Awards from November 10 - November 13,  2022.

Women for Women in Film awards 5 WFWIF Mentorships each year for female creators in the entertainment industry.

 The 6 month immersive mentorship program, includes monthly online meetings with the directors of our board to connect and career-coach the selected female filmmakers from all over the world. 

In 2022, WFWIF proudly presents the Kara Scott Dentley Award as part of the ETHOS Film Impact Award Celebration. 

 

Other mentorship programs include the Cindy Cowan Mentorship Award as part of the annual Conquering Disabilities with Film International Film Festival, and the Del Weston Award for female producers where the winner will become a lifetime member of WFWIF and will also receive a cash stipend

MISSION

Since our board consist of independent female filmmakers, we know how important the support for other women in the industry is. We highlight and support topics and opportunities in collaboration with our male and supportive colleagues in the industry who know how important female voices in film are.
